When it comes to Texas Hold em there are three different types of games that are played. There is "Limit Hold em" which means that there is a specific limit of betting for each round. There is "No Limit Hold em" which means that there are no limits, and lastly there is "Pot Limit Hold em" which means that the players can be a maximum of the pot amount.

How to play?

The dealer button is handed out and the two players to the left of the button place the small blind and the big blind on the table before the cards are handed out. Blinds are the bets that are placed before the hands are seen; this makes the game fair in such a way that people cannot fold all the time and still win.

Once the blinds are placed then 2 cards are handed out to each player face down. There is then a round of betting.

There are then three cards known as the flop that are placed face up on the table in front of the dealer.

There is another betting round.

There is then a fourth card placed up in the middle of the table next to the three cards. This card is known as the turn.

There is another round of betting.

A fifth and final card is placed next to the four other cards in the middle of the table. This card is known as the river. The object of these cards is that players are to take the two cards in their hands and use the five cards on the table to make the best possible five card poker hand. The best five card poker hand wins the pot. If there are two winning hands the post is split.
